Parent-Student-Teacher Partnership Agreement
I believe that student success depends on an open/working
relationship between the student, the parents/guardians, and the teacher. As a
team working together we can create the best learning environment for your
student this year and ensure his or her success.
In order to accomplish this I am sharing with you the following:

1.) what you can expect from me

2.) what I expect from your student

    3.) what I would ask of parents/guardians

Teacher Expectations:
As your child’s teacher I will strive
to:
  - provide a safe learning environment which
    incorporates research-based methods
- design a science curriculum based on National
    Science Standards, South Dakota
Science Standards, and Achievement test expectations
- present material in a variety of ways to increase
    student interest and ensure numerous
 opportunities for students to succeed
- include hands-on activities, experiments,
demonstrations, problem solving opportunities, critical thinking exercises,
real world applications and technology links to allow students to "see,
feel, hear, think, and experience" science rather than just read about
    it
- link science expectations and topics to real world
situations so that students begin to see
science as an important component in their everyday life now and in the
    future
- be available before & after school and at
arranged times to answer questions and provide assistance
- communicate with parents/guardians in a timely
manner about expectations, student progress, classroom behavior, grades,
    homework, and other parental concerns
